One base for the whole crew

Spring training trips often bring together family members, old friends and fans of different teams. Splitting across hotel rooms makes the evenings fragmented. With five bedrooms and nine beds in one home, everyone comes back to the same place after the game, and the backyard becomes the post-game hangout.

The full kitchen handles game-day breakfasts and coolers, and the long dining table seats the group for dinner at home on the nights you skip restaurants.

Ballparks and timing

Cactus League games are played at multiple ballparks across the Phoenix metro area, including Scottsdale Stadium in Old Town and Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. The house is in Scottsdale; we do not publish drive times because they vary with traffic and game-day crowds. Use the directions links in our local guide or a maps app from the house to check timing for your dates.

Schedules, start times and ticket sales are set by the teams and the league. Always confirm on the official Cactus League and team sites before you plan around a specific game.

MLB's labor agreement expires December 1, 2026, so the schedule could change; check mlb.com.

Afternoons back at the house

After a day game, the backyard has the private pool, hot tub, sport court, putting green, mini golf, Snookball and 15+ games, plus a game room for evenings together. Check the booking calendar for pool-heat options.

A day-by-day rhythm for a spring training trip

Many groups arrive on the first afternoon, check in at 4 p.m., claim rooms and spend the evening by the pool. Game days start with breakfast at the long dining table, then the group heads to the ballpark together. After a day game, the backyard takes over: the hot tub, the putting green, a basketball tournament on the sport court, and dinner on the covered patio or out in Old Town.

Mixed groups often split for a day, with some heading to a second ballpark and others golfing, hiking or relaxing at the house. Because everyone sleeps under one roof, regrouping in the evening is easy. Our itinerary builder on the planning page lays out each day and can be shared with the whole group, and the local guide covers restaurants, golf and family outings with official links.

Logistics that matter

Check-in is at 4 p.m. and checkout at 10 a.m. The driveway fits four cars, so groups often carpool or use rideshare to the ballpark. The primary guest must be 25 or older. House rules and guest limits are on the booking page.
